Being in Control

I like being in control.

Being in control of my studies, my future, where I want to be and what I want to do.

Sometimes things just don't work out the way it should even though EVERY precaution has been taken and every step planned. It just comes to show we can control some things, but not all.

I thought I was in control.

I talked to God yesterday before I slept at 11.30pm (Still keeping my resolution ^_^). I was thinking through the series of events that happened and I realized there's only so much I can do and plan. I feel as if things are running out of hand. Circumstances are pushing me towards a path that I've neither thought of, or have any intention to travel upon.

In the midst of all this, I suddenly realize who's in control.

It was never me.

It was always Him.

For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And my thoughts than your thoughts.

For I know the plans I have for you....

ARgh

I feel like ranting.

But you know what.

I shall refrain

and

meditate

In the deepest, quietest place in your heart
There's One who is holding your world together

Speaking to you the wisdom you need

And giving you strength to see you through

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
- 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18 -

A Sudden Resolution

I suddenly have a resolution when I woke up at 7am this morning.

I never had a resolution. Why bother now?

Because the resolution is part of a long term plan to be pretty and young.

^_^

My resolution is...........

To sleep earlier.

I've started sleeping earlier since last semester.

Rarely exceed 1 am.

This semester I aim to sleep by 11pm.

...

Ok, maybe I should give myself some allowance.

I'll sleep latest, latest by 11.30pm.

...

To cut myself some slacks, sometimes 12am also can la.

There. Such an achievable resolution.

So proud of myself.

Argh. I look stupid.

I look like a goon because this young lady insisted that's the way to pose for the camera. -_-! The hand must like that de according to her.

A Strange Man

He smokes. He appears. He disappears.

Such a strange man.

At 12.30pm on Wednesday, a strange man was outside my house, staring into the house. My house mate just came back after assignmenting (Heh. Curi the term from Hwei) and they spotted the strange man in front of our house. They decided to stay in the car until he disappear.

Unfortunately he came towards them instead. He leaned against the car window with both his hands and mouth and asked, 'Is there room for rent?'

Such an odd thing to ask at such an odd hour by such an odd person. o_O

Of course they said no. Ahha.

Then he asked again, 'Do you know anywhere else where there's room for rent? I came from somewhere quite far to look for room.'

Doubly weird. Of course they said no again.

Then he went two houses down the road and continued starring. After that he disappeared. My house mate couldn't spot him anywhere. They even went around in the car to find him but couldn't. He was wearing black la. So pretty difficult to find.

After that, her friends in the car decided she shouldn't come down and should just spend the night at their place for safety purposes. Who knows whether the strange man might suddenly jump out of no where and knife her.

There. A strange man lingering outside my house.

You know what's creepy?

I forgot to lock my car that night. I think God was merciful and decided to keep the strange man away. It really was a blessing that my house mate went assignmenting, had a super late dinner and talk talk talk talk till 12 something. Ahhhaha. Otherwise, maybe the strange man would have entered the pouch and slept in my car.

Then I would have pengsan in the morning.

Thank you, thank you God.

Time for assignmenting. Bah.

My Last Semester

Just began and I can't wait for it to be over.

I shall be random.

We were playing around with the stuff we bought for Ken during his birthday.

I was having fun camwhoring as usual.

The difference between a picture that has been photoshopped and one that hasn't.

My Holidays

I haven't blogged in a long time. I actually don't know what to blog about. So much has happened and there's so much to say. Yet I can't seem to put them into words. Words and sentences aren't falling nicely into place like they're supposed to. Every time I logged on, my mind goes blank and all my stories disappear.

Words, come back. Sentences, fall into place. Please?

I'm talking to words and sentences. I am getting weirder as the days goes by.

I shall systematically arrange my thoughts and direct the words and sentences into place.

Hmph. Yup. That's what I'd do. *bleks at screen, claps hands, gathers all the words together*

Note: Some photos look very nice, others awful, some ok. It's because I curi some nice looking photos from Chen Li's and Aaron's blog. The others are not edited because I malas.

I attended Geng Yi and Grace's wedding.

Align Centre
Such a lovely couple.

We decorated the church a few days before the wedding. Goofed around a little with some of the ribbons. Kekeke.

I made Sin Yee and Adrian act goofy. And no, they weren't drunk

In the end the church ended looking oh-so-weddingish.

The youth practiced so happily for the wedding. They had some pretty neat moves too. I can still see Sarah's '3 words like you used to do', Adrian's' je jeng je jeng je jeng' and Shu Lynn's 'besi smile'. Too bad. No pictures.

Do have some learning-the-song pictures though. ^_^

Sin Yee writing some of the lyrics

The echoist Chen Li, Qi and Yen Mei learning their parts (Sin Yee learn for fun).

The boys learning how to sing Do-uh-uh. Elise looks like she got a headache. Haha

^_^ good times.

Then of course I had to get the ear infection. :(

My ear nerves were affected. I was in pain from the day before the wedding till after the wedding. Sigh. That made me pissy pissy during the practice man. Nobody likes a pissy shuen, including me.

The infection was so bad it turned black. YUCKY I tell you.

Ear continued to hurt and there were even gross yellowy gluey liquid. Mom decided I needed to see a specialist. This time the medicine worked. Hurray! ^_^

My ear was ugly for a month. Ewwwww.

Anyway, my ear is all pretty now. *stares into the mirror and smiles BIG*

Muaahahahaha.

That was one heck of a wedding. Because they had characters like SWAT teams all over the place.

I attended a youth camp

What a camp. It rained everyday and I forgot my pillow.

Good thing Sin Yee's house is super near and she went home to get me one. ^_^

The only game we played in camp

I don't know what Ju's doing actually. ^_^!

I went to Shen Zhen

^_^ It was nice.

We camwhored a lot. But i shan't post it up because I've gotten fatter. See me when I'm slim and beautiful again k.

No lar. It's because I don't have the pictures with me.

Haiseh. I shall nevertheless post the pictures I have (even though I look fat).

See. That's me imitating the fat lips person stuck to the fall and Ken trying to open his fat big eye. My dad was going all '-_-!' Lol.

We had lots of fun. We went to this place called the Windows of World. People who can't afford to travel the world should just come here. The Chinese decided that if they can't travel the world, why not bring the world to China. So they created miniatures of all the wonders of the world. There's Leaning tower of Pisa, Pyramids, etc etc. Again, pictures ain't with me.

This is the Eiffel Tower miniature. It's one third the size of the real Eiffel. Not bad actually. It looks exactly like the real stuff. Hwei did mention though, that the Chinese tends to mencinakan everything. So they mencinakan the Eiffel tower. That's why there were some chinese words there.

Ken having so much fun being squashed

I broke out into a musical on Christmas day

After the trip, we had the super hectic practice for Christmas' random musical.

It started out pretty randomly.

Yen: Eh, what we doing for Christmas huh?

Me: Let's do a musical! We can suddenly break out into a song and dance! We've never done a musical so far.

Yen: o_O Got time?

...

Hwei, Shaun and I randomly talked about the potential musical every now and then. Bits and pieces of the musical began to fall into place and Voila! The First Day of Christmas was borned! Of course, Hwei sat at the pc the entire day to come out with the script. ^_^ She's MGC's bestest script writer!

I had plenty of other activities

Which I shall not elaborate. Keke...

All in all, it was an eventful holiday.

I had plenty of fun. Except the ear infection part.
