Gotong royong

We in MGC decided to clean up the church for Geng Yi and Grace's wedding. It was impressive. ALL the youth stayed back for the clean up. Good job man. Semangat sekali. I can still hear Adrian saying ' For Geng Yi I will' as he climbs up the ladder to clean the fans. Ahha.

Betul-betul gotong-royong spirit!

Presenting.....

The mop masters!
Me and Yen Mei racing to the end of the pew with mopping skills and gaya

Shu and Yen mop combat

Awwww. Ain't she graceful? Our 5As Celine with the mop

Also presenting....

The fan masters!

Simon and the blades

Shaun and the... fan cover

Simon and Uncle Tony, the fan fixers. So synchronized.

There were many many many more people. Too bad didn't manage to take everyone's picture cause most of the time I was hard at work you know. Heh. We cleaned up the place till it was squeaky clean. You can lick the floor.

That was a joke. Don't lick the floor.

Wedding's coming. Pom pom pom pom........

Looi T-A-G-G-E-D Me, one of the doinks.

First, the rules:

1) link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog.

2) share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.

3) tag 7 people at the end of your post (link or not, up to you)

4) let them know they are tagged.

Then the clues:

1. I'm a Christian because I have a personal relationship with God and loves Him. I am not a Christian simply because I attend church and do Christian stuff. Going to church doesn't make you one.

2. I love men in tuxedos. Example: Click Five, Maroon Five, Robert Downey Jr in Ironman. *drools*

3. I express myself better in writing although I love and prefer to talk. I find that writings presents my emotions and thoughts more accurately but rarely make it to the blog for public viewing. Struggles are not exposed to the public until after they have ceased to be struggles.

4. I love swimming. It's the ONLY sports I know. I shall swim forever and ever even if I'm 70.

5. I secretly want to have a bakery and a band of my own.

6. I read fast. I like things done fast. I shop fast too. ^_^

7. I like happy songs. Like Daniel Powter's 'Next plane home'. SOOOOO happy.

I shall tag 2 people, my beloved Hwei and Shaun. Keke. Did I mention I have a rebellious spirit and prefer to disregard rules such as those in tags? Heh.

A reply to Shaun's post

I was reading Shaun's post the other day. About how he chose to walk away from copying the leaked questions. About how my experience encouraged him to do it. I am proud of what he did. Yet at the same time, grieved that he had to go through such an experience. Believe me. It's really painful.

As I read, as I pondered, one thing came to mind.

A quote from Finding Neverland,

"Magnificent. The boy is gone..."

^_^ The boy is gone. Here's a toast to the man!

A toast to Shaun

By the way, those who haven't watch finding neverland should watch it. It's about the guy who created Peter Pan and Neverland. Read Mark's post about it.

In the sea of journals

I read, I read and I read read read
Reading my way through the sea of journals.

...

The sea reminds me of me.
The spirit feels like a raging tempest.
Fierce. Uncontrolled. Rebellious.

The sea reminds me of me.
Constantly tossed about by the sea.
Struggling. Drowning. Fear.

The sea reminds me of Him.
The one who taught in the boat.
The one who stilled the raging tempest.
The one who walked on stormy seas.

He stills me. He calms me. He teaches me.

There can be peace in the raging sea.

Cinderella... A Twist in Time

I grew up on Disney cartoons. I watched them over and over again until my parents feel like puking. AHha. I could narrate the lines in Little Mermaid. I could sing all the songs in Beauty and the Beast. I could watch them back to back few times a day and never got bored. I am a true blue Disney fan. Hee.

One of the Disney movies I never really liked was Cinderella. I have my reasons. First, she's not that pretty or beautiful compared to other princesses and the prince is darn lousy. He does nothing except dance with her, then wear the glass slipper for her and kiss. That's all. So passive. Not heroic at all.

Why do I bring Cinderella up? Cause I found Cinderella III superb!!!! I totally change my mind about the prince. ^_^

Cinderella A Twist in Time is a must watch. Take it from the hardcore Disney fan (me of course).

It's a very interesting story as the fairy godmother's magically wand falls in the hand of Cinderella's stepmother and fairy godmother was transformed into a stone statue! Soon the evil stepmom reversed the time back to the moment where Cinderella was suppose to fit in the glass slipper and live happily ever after. This time round, the slipper fit Anastasia's feet (stepsis) and the Prince was supposed to marry her. -_- How can right???!

Anyways, Cinderella was determined to fight for her man and tried to convince the Prince to remember her when she secretly entered the palace. However, the irritating stepmom kept using the wand to make the prince forget Cinderella. Poor Cinderella failed in an attempt to break the spell in the short period of time when she stold the wand and was ultimately captured and ordered to be shipped out of the kingdom. So SAD!!!!

Poor Prince was so confused. His memory told him the girl he danced with during the ball was Anastasia. But he totally no feel when with her! He was thinking, 'It's her, but it's not her!' T.T
So depressing man.

The mice had to be the heroes again la. They confronted the Prince and told him the real story in mice language. Don't ask me how, but he undersd them in the end. Disney movie ma. ^_^!

The Prince turn to act hero. He followed his gut instincts and went to save Cinderella from being shipped to a far far away place.

In the end, they all wanted to capture the stepmom and stepsis. Bad people always disappear at the last moment. They decided to go on with the wedding anyway!

But wait! The story does not end there. There's more. Which I shan't tell and spoil the excitement.

But trust me when I say it's good. The story line cannot be better. Full points to the Prince for playing such a pro-active role. ^_^ And to Cinderella who's willing to fight for her man!

Watch. WATCH! Wo chiao ni Kan!!!!

Do you know? I did not know

Do you know when giving a copy of your IC, you should always cross and label it?

I did not know. Now I do. ^_^

During class one day, a lovely lecturer mentioned about consumerism. She spoke about consumer rights and specifically taught us how to protect our identity from being stolen. Our identities can be used for a number of things, such as applying for loans. Thieves may conveniently use our identity to apply for loans without having to pay a single cent. All they need is a photocopied IC.

In order to prevent such terrible ordeal, always cross your IC with the appropriate label.

For example:

This is a copy of an identity card*

Suppose we're giving a photocopied IC to JPA

Wonder if we can cross it anyhow we like

*Disclaimer: The above identity card is fictional and solely for the purpose of illustration.

1 Timothy 6:8

I went shopping. Despite the fact that there was an exam the same day, later in the evening.

I read 1 Timothy 6:8. It says,

And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.

It was insane. There were zillions of others like me and my crazy sense of shopping.

I went bonkers seeing so much clothes at such affordable price.

This is bliss. Bliss to the max!

Of course it came with a huge price. I studied day and night and night and day for the sake of shopping. In the name of shopping, suddenly there was no limit to the things I could do. I wake up with a bolt and told myself, 'seize the day!'

I've never experienced such great force of energy. Ever.

After the exciting weekend however, my zeal and energy was miraculously zapped away.Everything went back to normal. B-o-r-i-n-g.

I still have exams. Studying but not so semangat lar. *yawn*

I realize when I study, my table suddenly becomes messy. Both two other housemates who are also coursemates are so neat. I wonder if it's me or them.

I think the table is too small

There's a lot of difference studying with zeal and without. But one thing stays the same. I still camwhore. Ahhahaha.

Camwhore not because free. I camwhore because very SIEN.

I found two things this week that accurately expresses what I feel

The fat cat

I feel fat like this fat cat. The cat was super fat that I had to take it's picture. See all the bak bak overflowing.

The shirt

Some random pictures of kids. I agree with Shaun. Kids have an adorable side even if they can be monsters. ^_^

Before I go...

Pretty, no?

CK so yeng, no?

^_^. Time to study!!!!

Huhuhu........
