Earlier today, I dropped baby and Ah Ling off at the ktm station. After driving back, I decided to soak my clothes. Then I was nicely in my room reading blogs, updating myself and checking the mail (even though I was suppose to be studying) . I always soak my clothes so that I don't have to scrub so hard. Haha.
Somewhere after soaking my clothes and before I took a bath, the cooking gas hose came off. Its actually the hose that connects the gas tong to the stove. What happened was that the screw was already very old and it gave way today. First room Ming Hua and I did not noticed at all. The gas slowly filled the entire kitchen and baby's room.

Anyways, Ming Hua left and I decided to take a bath. That's when I heard a funny noise. It sounded like a hiss except much louder. The sound is pretty much similar to that made by the train before take off (if that makes sense at all).
And it was suffocating. Cooking gas actually smells like cockroach spray (if you spray non stop for 3minutes).
At first I thought the nyamuk people come and spray at the back. Then think think again, 'Macam tak betul...'. Cause the sound was loud, it had to be from inside.
So I went to the kitchen, hunting for the sound. Reminds me of the crocodile hunter (Irrelevant). Being the noob I am in cooking (egg, maggi mee cook), I was of course rarely in the kitchen. Except to wash the dishes. And wash clothes. And to take toiletries. Oh well, you get the point. And so no one would expect me to be able to tell if anything was wrong with the kitchen. But of course, an observant and alert person like myself quickly noticed that the hose had came off.
I stooped down and reached out to the hose and realised the sound WAS from the hose. The gas WAS coming out from the hose. The kitchen WAS filled with tremendous amount of gas. OH NOES! I turned off the gas. After making sure the gas was really turned off, I froze for a moment (5 seconds) and shudder at the thought of what could have happenned.
Baby closed her door before she left. I opened it. It was filled with gas. Scary. I quickly switched on the fan and aired her room.
I wondered later during the evening, what if I died today?
I would have died before both my grandmothers. I would have died before finishing my degree. The last person that saw me would be Ming Hua. The last words I said was to baby and Ah Ling. 'Bye! Tk care.' The last thought on my mind was my exam this coming Thursday. I would have died alone.
I would have gone to see meet Lord.
Instead of being with the MGC youth in Midvalley tomorrow, laughing and having fun, they would all be in Melaka to attend my funeral.
Weird. Tragic. Sudden.
I could have died but I didn't. I'm still alive!
Life is brief, unpredictable and alarmingly short.
I shall not spend a single second being unhappy.
I wonder if I would have accomplished what the Lord has had for me?

Good thoughts about the last words and all wan. And yeah, would not have liked to attend your funeral instead of going to MidValley. I shall enjoy myself in MidValley today and get there by bus by hook or by crook.
